II Peter 3:8-13

What is the writer saying?

The false teachers taught that since it had been so long and Jesus hadn't returned yet, that He would never return. Peter reminds his readers that God doesn't operate in the realm of time but is patient. For 2000 years God has been adding to His church. Judgment is on the horizon, until then, believers are to live holy and godly lives.

How do I Apply this to my Life?

Catastrophic judgement is on the way. And it may be close at hand. Take comfort believer, God always has a rescue plan for His remnant. At the end of the age, it will be the Rapture.
